Weight Gaming is a NSFW community and thus all users (guests or members) must be at or over the age of 18. By creating a account you verify that you are 18 or over and accept that the admins or moderators can ban your account if it is revealed you are under the age of 18.
If you believe a user does not meet the minimum age requirements of Weight Gaming please send a message with your proof to our mods for investigation.
Weight Gaming operates under US law, and we expect all users to ensure they do their best to ensure the content they post is within the realms of US law.
Luckly, the first amendment provides wide protections for what you can post, but there are exceptions such as:
- True Threats (threats where the user intends to commit physical harm to or kill another person)
- Obscene Content (as dictated by the miller test)
- Defamation
- ect
If you are ever unsure feel free to reach out to a mod first.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
In accordance with the Protect Act of 2003 any content that either:
- Contains characters that are under the age of 18 according to their canon age, or
- Contains characters that look under the age of 18 to an average person
cannot be posted to the site.
The law requires that the canon age be used for characters when determining age so “aging up” cannot be used as a defense for posting such content. If you are ever unsure if a character may or may not be considered underage, reach out to one of the mods and they can help clarify that for you.
It should be noted that while we discourage the inclusion of any underage characters across the board, there are rare cases that can be considered an exceptions to this rule.
For example, pregnancy can potentially violate this rule, but is generally allowed as long as:
- The character never gives birth
- If the character gives birth, it happens off screen
Exceptions are very context sensitive though and must be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
We also reserve the right to preemptively lock and hide topics pending further investigation if we feel it is warranted for the situation.
Users are not allowed to post any copyrighted or trademarked content for which they either do not have permission for or would violate the license for that contents use.
We do not review posted content for trademark and copyrighted content except in specific cases where we are required to do so. We assume that the users are acting in good faith and have permission or are complying with the relevant license for any copyrighted or trademarked content they may post.
Also, on rare occasions we may have to comply with DMCA take-down requests filed with our hosting provider instead of directly with us. Since this can result in termination of our ability to host the site and tend to have tighter deadlines we tend to be more aggressive in enforcing these requests.
If you believe a user has violated your copyright or trademark that you yourself hold the rights to you can address, it in one of two methods:
Also note that only the IP holder or an authorized representative of the IP holder can ask for copyrighted and trademarked content to be removed. Random users are not allowed to file on the IP holder’s behalf. If you think something is violating copyright or trademark, please reach out to the IP holder and tell them to contact us via support@weightgaming.com.
Weight Gaming is an NSFW fetish community and is not the appropriate space to discuss politics in general. We do allow limited exceptions for issues where relevant to the site, but these are very rare instances.
Some examples of topics we allowed in the past are:
- Age Verification Laws
- Laws affecting NSFW content related to our community
- Issues around receiving or sending payment for NSFW content
But even in these cases we ask users to mainly stick to the facts of the matter and limit opinion and speculation.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards the following behavior regardless of reason or target. Please keep in mind this is not an exhaustive list and will be expended as required.
Examples of Unacceptable Behavior
- Death threats and/or telling users to commit suicide
- Hate speech
- Doxing
- Harassment
- Callouts
- Vigilantism
- Overly aggressive behavior towards other users for any reason
and either of the following depending on severity and previous offences:
We expect all users to behave civilly and treat each other with respect and encourage each other to do the same. As a rule of thumb treat the forums as you would any other public space. If you wouldn't do it in a park or bar you shouldn't do it here.
The following guidelines are meant to provide some more concrete examples of what is acceptable, what would depend on context, and what would be considered unacceptable. This is not an exhaustive list and is merely meant to act as an example of what is expected:
- Provide constructive feedback
- Avoid insults
- Consider the other user’s point of view
- Justify your viewpoint with reasonable arguments
- Stick to facts where able
- Be willing to admit or accept when wrong
- Understand that reasonable minds can disagree and be willing to move on
- Flag or directly notify a mod of issues if you see them
- Stating your opinion without justification
- Passing opinion off as fact
- Using insults towards an idea
- Deflecting arguments or moving goal posts
- Complaining about rate of development or time between updates
- Personal attacks
- Insulting users
- Belaboring points
- Trolling
- Ad hominem attacks
- Moral grandstanding
- Kink shaming
- Disruptive or prolonged arguments
The following is an example of 3 different ways to say the same thing with what would be considered acceptable, what could be removed depending on the context, and what would be unacceptable using the above guidelines:
This isn't a good idea. Alot of players are probably not going to like that feature and it would be better if you focused on the bugs first.
This is a really dumb idea. Everyone is going to hate it and stop playing your game.
The dev is an idiot. The game is a buggy mess and they want to just add more in! I hope the dev can get his head out of his ass.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
Since WG depends heavily on volunteers to help moderate the site. Due to this, we are very sensitive to anything that is a blatant abuse or unduly monopolizes our limited moderation resources.
Some examples of actions that we consider abuse or monopolization of moderation resources:
- Falsely flagging content for rule violations
- Reaching out to mods and demanding content, topics, users, ect to be removed not due to a specific rule violation but personal preference
- Accusing content, topics, users, ect for rule violations without evidence
- Fabricating evidence to attempt to get content, topics, users, ect removed from the site
- Consistent and/or frequent violations of our rules (usually minor incidents) even after multiple verbal or official warnings
Depending on the offence and previous offences one of the following actions may be taken:
The moderators & admins’ primary prerogative is to maintain order and a safe & respectful space. To achieve this moderators & admins may give specific instructions to users from time to time. These instructions are expected to be followed.
It should also be noted that a specific rule violation occurring is not needed for a moderator to be allowed to issue instructions. It’s a common case that a moderator may issue instructions to one or more users to preempt a rule violation or ensure topics stay organized & orderly. Some examples of these types of actions could be:
User1 & user2 have been debating in a topic and it is now starting to get heated. A moderator steps in and tells both users to drop the discussion and move on before it turns into a fight.
User1 is discussing something in a topic that is not against the rules but is also not pertinent to the topic where it is being discussed. A moderator may ask the user to either move the discussion to another topic that fits it better or create a brand new one for discussion.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
We expect all users to comply fully with our rules in good faith. Users that fail to do so or are engaging with our rules in bad faith may face punishments from the moderation team for doing so.
An example of this behavior is ban evasion. This is when a user attempts to get around being suspended by using a new account. If we find out that the new account is tied to a suspended account that account will also be suspended.
Keep in mind this is just an example and is not just limited to ban evasion.
Punishment will depend on what rules were trying to be circumvented.
The moderators are here to help keep order and make sure things stay civil, but they can only act on things they know about. If you see something that you think is a violation of our rules, either flag it or reach out to a mod directly and let them know.
To keep the projects section better organized we are imposing some restrictions on what can and cannot be posted in that section. To help enforce and facilitate this we are requiring project posts to go through a manual review process before being allowed now.
While posts are not required to be in English, since most of our staff speaks English, you may be requested to provide a translation for review. It is highly recommended to provide an English translation at least within your post if able as it will help make the review process for your projects easier and faster.
All perspective projects must comply with our rules and the following depending on whether they are free or paid games to be approved:
Games where the author is planning to distribute them for free just must show that their project is beyond the concept phase. Some examples of what we would accept as proof of development are:
Devs that look to be making the post to either gather more feedback on their idea or maybe making it to build a team before starting development will be directed to project ideas or the jobs board respectively.
It should be noted that it is ok for devs of free games to ask for donations or people to join their patreon to support the development of the game if there is no game content paywalled behind those donation methods.
For games that require a user to pay a one-time fee or join something like a patreon to gain access to the game we are requiring the devs to provide proof that there is at least a playable executable that they will be distributing. We also reserve the right to deny project status if we believe the playable build given to us is fraudulent or shows evidence of being malware upon review.
Games that were free but then become paywalled may be forced to reverify their projects with us depending on how long the project has been free, the reasoning for the switch, and any additional relevant context.
Devs that project hop or create multiple paid projects either in a short period of time or without finishing or significant development on their previous projects may receive additional scrutiny.
We reserve the right to deny allowing paid project into the project category on the grounds of too many outstanding projects or too many projects abandoned soon after announcement.
Mods are no longer going to be allowed in the projects section. Instead, they will be directed to the mods section of the site.
If the poster is trying to make a topic for a project, they do not own or do not have permission to be an authorized representative for will be directed to the wiki or general depending on what section the mod feels is more appropriate for that case.
One of the following may be taken for violation of the above:
Devs that misrepresent their games to us multiple times may have their privileges for posting to the projects category revoked.
We do not allow any projects or mods to use images of real people, regardless of if the dev has license or permission to do so.
One or more of the following actions may also be taken
Users are allowed to ask questions like when is the next update coming out?, but in order to ensure topics do not turn into users constantly asking for when the next update is we expect users to do their due diligence to ensure the question was not asked recently or the dev hasn't posted any information that would have answered that question.
It should be noted we hold Paywalled projects to a higher standard of responsibility in this regard and will be a little more lenient in users asking about updates rather than with projects whose devs are giving them to the community for free.
One or more of the following actions may be taken by a mod in response to violating this rule:
Users are allowed to discuss and speculate a project’s development status, but they are asked not to make any definitive statements without evidence to back such claims.
Some examples of what would be considered acceptable and unacceptable are:
There hasn’t been an update in a long time, and the dev doesn't seem active anymore. I think this project is dead.
The dev stated on their patreon that they no longer have time for the project and had to move on. Here is what they said:
"The project ended up taking a lot more time than I expected and with my new job I just can’t juggle both anymore, so I am stopping development on it."
The project hasn't been updated in a long time. It’s dead.
One or more of the following actions may be taken by a mod in response to violating this rule:
Users are expected to do their best to ensure topics are created in the correct categories and properly tagged.
Do your best to stay on topic for the topic you are in. While it is expected conversations will wonder to some degree it should largely remain related to the topic at hand or quickly return to it.
If the line of discussion goes too far off topic or doesn't look like it will return to the topic in a reasonable span of time, consider creating a new topic for it or taking the discussion to PMs.
Also, keep in mind that we are a site for developing, discussing, and showing off fetish game projects. We expect posts made on the forums to at least stay roughly in line or related to that.
Here are some examples of what could be considered off topic or out of context for the site:
- Derailing a topic by bringing up a different or unrelated subject of discussion
- Hijacking an existing topic or taking over an abandoned topic
- Promoting external sites that are irrelevant to the site
- Looking to date or find a partner
One or more of the following actions may be taken by a mod in response to violating this rule:
Forums are a public place for discussion. As such try to be mindful about dominating the discussion. Try to let others chime in and voice their opinion as well.
If you get into a specific discussion with one or more users that begins to dominate the topic, consider moving it to PMs so others can also have a chance to voice their opinions and thoughts.
Since most of our moderation team speaks English we ask that users try to have their topic titles in English so it is easier for us to communicate with each other when we cannot send direct links to other mods.
This does not apply for posts and content of the topic though which can be done in any language the poster is comfortable with.
Keep in mind that when trying to post to the projects category you may be asked to provide an English translation of your topic for review. Providing one ahead of time or an English translation of your post directly could help reviews go faster so is highly suggested if able.
We expect users to not unnecessarily bump topics, especially if the intent of bumping the topic is to try to keep it near the top of the latest list. If we see what we believe to be a user unnecessarily bumping topics a mod will reach out to discuss the situation with them.
The following is an example of some scenarios where we may consider the bumping unnecessary or as an attempt to keep a post near the top of latest.
- Reposting something already posted earlier in the topic and not as a response to a discussion
- Creating posts without interacting with any discussion
- Breaking up an update and posting it over a period of time without good reason when it could have been done in one post or over a shorter period
And one or more of the following actions may also be taken in response to violating this rule:
To try to keep the forum organized and clean try to avoid creating redundant topics. Try to see if another topic already exists for what you want and try to use that if able.
Some examples of what we could consider redundant topics:
- Recreating a topic that already exists
- Creating topics to post updates (update the existing topic instead)
One or more of the following actions may also be taken in response to violating this rule:
Posts or Topics that look to be spam will be removed without notice to try to keep things cleaned. While occasionally done by actual users this is commonly done by automated accounts.
Users are not allowed to Role Play on the forums. Any attempt to do so will be removed without notice.
And one or more of the following actions may also be taken in response to violating this rule:
We do not take kindly to users defacing or messing with wiki pages and we have a zero-tolerance policy for users who do so.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
While the wiki is supposed to act as a public repository for information, the content that can be posted within a wiki page must still comply with our general rules. Please ensure that when including or linking content (images, files, ect...) that content complies with our rules.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
There may be times where two or more editors may disagree on something within a wiki page. Instead of fighting over it contact a mod to act as a judge to decide which editors change should be allowed.
Depending on the offence and previous offences one or more of the following actions may be taken:
If a template is available, please try to use that when creating new pages. If not try your best to keep your page formatted in a similar manner to the other pages.
Ensure that wiki pages are created in the correct sections and are properly tagged. This is also essential for any automated page generating to work properly if we implement it in the future.
See the #rules channel in the discord for the discord server specific rules.
If you have been inactive for a long period of time and your project has not been very active our systems will automatically lock it. To unlock it just message one of the mods and we can work on getting it restored.
Please note that we reserve the right to deny unlocking a locked project if:
- The project was locked for a moderation reason
- If there are moderation concerns around unlocking the topic
- The dev has previously requested the post to be unlocked but never interacted with the post after it being unlocked
It could be one of 3 things:
No, if you wish to discuss a project that is not on the site, locked, archived, unlisted, ect you are free to make topics about it in general. General discussions are almost always ok as long as they comply with our rules.
But be careful reposting content like images, videos, and links especially for removed or unlisted/hidden content as there may be a reason that content was removed (request from the dev, DMCA, violation of rules, ect) that might require mods to edit or remove your post in response.
Contact any of the admins and they can help you out. We are looking to provide a better system to allow users to do this without contacting admin with the main site.
Contact any of the admins or send an email to support@weightgaming.com requesting its removal and they will work on it as soon as they can. If you choose to use email, please use the same email linked to your account so we can be sure you are the project owner.
Same with projects, just reach out to an admin. For general topics we can be a bit more hesitant on deleting a topic, but locking it is generally not going to be an issue and unlisting is usually not an issue as well.
The wiki is currently segmented between the official side and community side. This is done via path. All community pages and assets need to be somewhere under the /community/ path or you will get a forbidden or unauthorized error.
We use a definition that is based off the guidelines put forward by the US Copyright Office and Valve's AI Disclosure Policy. Generally speaking, if the content was generated from a prompt, either ahead of time or at run time, it is considered AIGC.
This does not include AI assisted tooling such as autocomplete and IntelliSense in code editors. The reasons for this are:
- Since these tools are driven by the author's work and not a prompt, the produced work would fall soundly under what the US Copyright Office would consider Human Authored Content.
- Due to the prevalence of these tools, especially in some of the most used IDEs in the world, it would require almost every game on the site to be tagged as AIGC if the user ever accepted an auto complete suggestion. This would make the tagging system effectively useless.
We also classify Machine Translations separately from AIGC. While many translation services fall under the same technical classification as text, image, or other generators their age, more specialized use case, and how they were trained tends to have them not carry the same negative connotations as more generalized Generative AI. We do still require games with Machine Translated Content to be tagged as such so users can choose if they want to make that distinction or not when it comes to their filters.
If you ever have questions if you think something should be classified as AIGC or not, feel free to ask any of our mods directly!
The following are some examples of what we would consider AIGC, what we would not consider AIGC, and what would be considered Machine Translation. This is not an exhaustive list and is merely meant to act as a point of reference.
The primary difference is that tools like Unity's Generative AI Tools (at the time of writing) are very prompt driven. A user could tell Unity to generate a building from a prompt, and it would try to construct the geometry for it.
Tools like IntelliSense are not usually prompt driven by contrast. They instead analyze what the user is doing in real time and offer suggestions based on what it believes the user's intent is or observed patterns. For example, with IntelliSense you might be typing:
print(1)
print(2)
print(3)
It may pick up on the pattern and then suggest something like:
print(4)
print(5)
print(6)
While we are going to endeavor to try to keep our rules as clear and concise as possible, there are going be edge cases we failed to consider. In those cases, a mod may have to exercise their best judgment to determine how best to ensure the site stays orderly and civil.
Also, keep in mind the punishment sections are meant to give a general idea of what actions may be taken by the moderators for a violation of a specific rule. Context and previous history of rule violations also plays a role in what actions may be taken. So, treat that section closer to general guidelines instead of hard rules.
